So I'm fascinated by vampires... and I rent vampire movies to watch them. So I rented "Vampire's Kiss" with Nicholas Cage. SUCH A FANTASTIC MOVIE!!! Here's the Netflix synopsis (also, stay tuned for the pictures... trust me, those are the absolute best part):
Peter Loew (Nicholas Cage, in an all-encompassing performance) is a sleazy literary agent who prowls the bars looking for action.
One night he hooks up with Rachel (Jennifer Beals [ed - who didn't shave her armpits for this part, it's the little things like this that add to the overall texture of the movie and just make it a real contender for best picture]), who, in the course of their evening together, bites him on the neck.
The next morning, when Peter is feeling out of sorts, he decides that a vampire bit him. The next step: Buy a real set of fangs, of course... even though most people don't believe he's a vampire.
No, seriously. I like to imagine this guy just looking at Nicholas Cage and his FANTASTIC acting and saying something like, "Hi Nick, uhhhh, yeah... Good to uh see you too. Oh yeah, this? Yeah, someone's sitting here. She uh, she uh--is in the bathroom right now."
"Did I mention my first name is Yves? Isn't that a great first name?"
